Ghana midfielder Ahmed Barusso gave his quest for more playing time at Serie B side Livorno a boost by scoring in their 3-0 win over Reggina on Saturday.

The bulky man was on spot to slot home the third goal at the Armando Picchi Stadium on 78 minutes and helped the club in fifth place.

Barusso has been a bit-part player since joining Livorno on-loan from giants AS Roma and this performance could overturn that as he lasted the entire duration.

The 25-year-old signed for Roma in 2007 but he is yet to spend a season at the Stadio Olimpico.

He been farmed out to clubs including Turkish side Galatasaray and Italian sides Siena, Brescia and Torino is the last two seasons.

Barusso's inconsistency cost him his international career and has been recalled to the Ghana national team since 2008.
