Bashir Hayford to learn Medeama future this week

Published on: 12 November 2012

Bashir Hayford’s Medeama future is hanging in the balance after they suffered their second straight defeat of the season.

The Mauves and Yellows lost 2-1 at Liberty Professionals on Sunday to heap pressure on Hayford whose future is being hugely speculated.

Medeama took the lead through striker Theophilus Anobah in the 8th minute but allowed their hosts to claw their way back into the game to record victory at the Sly Tetteh Memorial Park.

Their travelling fans were left frustrated and questioned some of his decision making, prompting rumours that he could be axed from the club.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands that management will hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday to deliberate on the future of the ex-Asante Kotoko trainer.

It is widely believed Hayford could be sacked if he is unable to defend some of the decisions that he took.

Assistant coach Tanko Shaibu could be promoted to take over the reigns of the club if Hayford is shown the exit door.
