Bashir Hayford under no pressure to transform Ashantigold

Coach Bashir Hayford says he’s not under pressure to turn the fortunes of Ashantigold around this season.

Hayford joined the miners in the off-season after he sensationally resigned from Medeama.

His resignation shocked many as he had steered the Mauves and Yellows to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table in the first round of the season.

The former Asante Kotoko trainer says he’s not under any weight of expectations in Obuasi.

“There is no pressure for me at all. I have been given a set target and that’s what I will be looking to achieve with the club,” Hayford said

“I have met the leadership of the supporters front to brief them on the direction of the club and I believe they are happy with me.”

Hayford’s first game in charge will be a difficult tie at 2011 champions Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
