Bayern Munich restored their 18-point lead atop the Bundesliga with a 2-1 win over Schalke, thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller.
Bayern Munich and MLS club FC Dallas have launched a youth development partnership.
The two clubs will "come together to exchange talent, allowing young players to experience different coaching styles and settings to enhance their development," Bayern said in a statement on their official website.
Bayern, who opened an office in New York in 2014, are looking to "help support the growth of soccer in the U.S.," internationalisation executive Jorg Wacker said.
"The United States is home to our very first international office, highlighting our commitment to engaging and growing Bayern's fan base in the Americas."
Both clubs announced that opportunities for youth teams to play fixtures against one another were also part of the partnership.
Young Dallas players will also get the chance to refine their skills at Bayern while remaining on the books of the MLS club.
The statement added: "In December, three U.S. homegrown players (Bryan Reynolds, Paxton Pomykal and Reggie Cannon) from Dallas visited Munich to experience the same training as Bayern stars."
Dallas chairman Clark Hunt said he was "thrilled" by the agreement and added: "One of our primary goals is to develop an academy and a club that can compete at the highest level on a global scale.
"This unprecedented partnership with one of the most successful clubs in the world marks a significant step toward that goal, and we look forward to working closely with the outstanding leadership at FC Bayern."
Dallas midfielder Weston McKennie joined German club Schalke in 2016, where he was promoted to the senior squad last summer.
