Bayern Munich not giving up Guardiola to Man City without fight

Bayern Munich aren't giving up on keeping hold of Pep Guardiola.

The Spanish coach is expected to leave in June for Manchester City.

But the Daily Mail says further intrigue was added on Friday when Guardiola did not attend his usual pre-game press conference - Bayern stressed it was down to a 'personal' issue and he will be back in the dugout for today's Bundesliga clash at The Allianz Arena and against Hertha Berlin.

There is no appetite in Munich to lose him. Bayern staged their AGM revealing record turnover figures of £368million and a record operating profit of £78m.

City are prepared to pay the current Bayern boss above the £13.2million-a-year Jose Mourinho earns at Chelsea - which is inclusive of bonuses and sponsorship deals - to nail their long-term target.
