Bechem United winger Okrah vows not to celebrate a goal against Kotoko
Bechem United midfielder Augustine Okrah says he won’t celebrate if he scores against Kotoko in Sunday’s Premier League clash.
Okrah left Kotoko in 2012 after struggling to hold down a regular position at the club.
The impressive youngster, who has raked in 10 goals in so far in the Ghanaian top-tier, has been an added piece since joining United.
“If I score in Sunday’s game, I will not celebrate out of respect for my former employers,” he’s by quoted by goal.com
“The fans in Kumasi are amazing; they supported me in my career when I was playing for them after signing from Red Bull Academy seasons ago.
“Even when I was deemed surplus to requirement, there were some section of the fans who saw and believed in my talent and encouraged.
“I can’t celebrate a goal in Baba Yara to be honest with you. I will always remember my old days [bad memories] with Kotoko but that doesn’t mean I will be jubilating when I put the ball at the back of the net.”
The 20-year-old is the joint-top scorer with Kotoko’s Seidu Bancey.
