New Edubiase president Abdul Salam has backed Bechem United youngster Augustine Okrah to establish himself as one of the finest Ghanaian players after another demonstration of his precocious gifts in their 1-0 defeat on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old was the outstanding piece as he scored the only goal of the match for the Hunters as they strolled to the important win in front of their home fans.

“We lost today but I think that boy (Okrah) should be watched. He has an amazing talent and one made for the future,” Edubiase chief Abdul Salam told reporters after the game

“He was never nervous and kept his composure. He is creative and has an attacking flair. He is a fantastic player who should be watched and encouraged.

“I believe he’s still in the learning curve but his talent and natural ability is up there with the best and I think, in time, he will prove to be that.

"I believe even if he doesn't get the chance to play for the Black Stars at this year's World Cup, his time will come."

The former Kotoko reject has increased his goal tally to 12, two more than closest challenger Seidu Bancey.
