There are indications that Bechem United playmaker Augustine Okrah will be awarded the SWAG Premier League Player of the Year on Saturday.

The 20-year-old is competing for the coveted award with Hasaacas goalkeeper George Owu and Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson.

Okrah leads the scorers chart with 12 goals and has assisted more than 80 percent of the goals scored by his club.

He is the frontrunner to be crowned the best player for this season’s First Capital Plus Premier League.

Okrah has been linked with clubs Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and Greece.

The Red Bull Academy graduate was excluded from Ghana’s provisional 26-man squad for the 2014 World Cup.
