Striker Eric Bekoe has been told to produce official document to authenticate claims that he has parted ways with Petrojet.

Media reports claimed the 25-year-old has mutually terminated his contract with the Egyptian side after suffering niggling injuries.

The ex-Heart of Lions attacker has not hidden his desire to re-launch his career with his boyhood club but officials of Kotoko want evidence to back the claim.

Talks have reached an advanced stage with the two parties expected to put pen to paper on a long-term deal subject to the provision of documents from Petrojet to validate the status of the striker.

“I don’t see myself playing for any other team in Ghana apart from Kotoko,” Bekoe said

“That is where my spirit lie and I will love to finalize contractual arrangement with the club very soon.”

Bekoe won the Ghana Premier League goal king with Kotoko in 2008.
