Belgian manager Tom Saintfiet will lead Togo in their friendly against Ghana next month ahead of the qualifiers for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The fate of the journeyman was in the balance until on Monday when the Togolese revealed that the former Zimbabwe coach will side the for next month's friendly against the Black Stars in Accra.

The match has been scheduled for 7 June in Accra to prepare the two sides for the competition ahead.

He will sign a two-year contract with the Togolese football association to take charge of the Sparrow Hawks.

“We have decided in collaboration with the ministry of sports to renew our confidence in Tom Saintfiet,” TFF normalisation committee boss Antoine Folly revealed on Monday.

The former Namibia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Malawi coach, who was already on the Togo bench during their friendly against Mauritius in March, will be assisted by former Hawks’ skipper and 2006 World Cup veteran Abalo Dosseh.
