Belgian giants KRC Genk have signed former Ghana under-17 midfielder Gabriel Laveh from Division one side Tema Youth.

Laveh will be joining Joseph Painstil who also joined the club on Monday after spending last season on loan at Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

The 18 year old has been one of Tema Youth brightest prospects and was part of the Black Starlets team that played at the Africa U-17 championship in Gabon last year, finishing second.

He also made the team that finished at the quarter finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India last October.

Following his tremendous performances with local side Tema Youth, the youngster attracted interest from Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

However, the Tema based club held on to their most priced asset.

The Belgian club already have former Ghana U-20 defender Joseph Aidoo on their books and he impressed last season after joining in January from Swedish side Hammarby.
