Berekum Arsenal fined US$ 1,500 for misconduct

Berekum Arsenal have been fined US$ (1,500) GH¢3,000 after being found guilty of misconduct during their League match against Real Tamale United on 24 October.

The Club, Berekum Arsenal pleaded guilty to the charge by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association for the actions of their supporters towards the match officials during recess of their match.

Arsenal's supporters accosted the match officials on the way to the dressing room and in the process, one of them

THIS IS FOOLISHNESS ON THE PARTOF THE GFA TO FINE THE CLUB. SHOULDNT THE GFA HAVE POLICE GUARDING THE REFS AT ALL TIMES, EXCEP FOR WHEN THEY ARE ON THE PITCH WORKING? JUST GO AFTER THE SUPPORTER, AND CHARGE HIM WITH ASSULT. HAVE HIM DO A 3MTH JAIL TERM OR DO COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK, PLUS A FINE. WHY MUST U FINE THE CLUB? GFA, STOP PUNISHING CLUBS FOR YOUR STUPIDITY
