Berekum Chelsea midfielder Charles Taylor is saddened by the recurring injury that has wrecked a rather fine career.

Taylor has not been active for the past two seasons due to a recurrent knee injury which has curtailed his career in the West African country.

The ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder, touted as the next big thing to happen to Ghana football has seen his career take a nosedive due to the persistent injury setback.

The 28-year-old admits he has been left frustrated and says he is saddened with the turn of event.

"I feel very sad with how things have gone for me over the past few years. The injury has really worried me," Taylor said

"Obviously I feel disappointed but the good Lord knows best. I am determined to continue with my treatment and hopefully I will be fit and back playing again.

"I will never give up. I believe one must go through such difficulties at some point but I believe I will come out a stronger person.

"I feel sad I have been unable to contribute my quota to the success of Chelsea due to the injury. But I’m still in the treatment room believing it will turn out well."

The ex-Kotoko winger joined the Blues two years ago but has barely featured for the side.
