Berekum Chelsea’s U-20 coach Annoh Walker has been promoted to take temporal charge of the first team, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The promotion follows the club’s decision to part ways with English coach Steve Pollack by mutual consent minutes after Sunday’s 1-0 home loss to Medeama SC.

“Our U-20 coach (Walker) will be taking interim charge of the senior team until such time we find a substantive coach,” Chelsea Ceo, Nana Kwame Nketia told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“His appointment takes immediate effect and will immediately prepare the team for our next league game against Wassaman.”

Pollack departs after the champions’ unimpressive start to the season which now sees them occupy the 9th position in the league with just five points out of a possible twelve.
