Berekum Chelsea preserved their unbeaten home record with a 2-0 win over Hasaacas at the Golden City Park on Sunday.

It was a positive response from the 2011 Ghana Premier League champions who were booted out of the Champions League last Sunday by Ahly Benghazi after losing the return leg in Tunis.

The Blues were quick to come out from the blocks and on seven minutes opened the scoring through Dennis Tetteh.

Striker Benjamin Boateng made a run on the right and teed up Tetteh inside the box and the youngster slotted home with a firm finish.

Early on, Tetteh came close to scoring the opener and his strike from inside the box was wide.

Hasaacas were blunt in the midfield and their front men were denied services with Frederick Quayson and Joseph Mugre made to wander.

Chelsea grew in confidence and looked lively through out the first half but could not double the lead.

After the break, Chelsea maintained the pressure and midfielder Yaw Alexander blasted in a screamer on 58 minutes.

Tetteh turned provider and laid a pass for Alexander to thunderously increase the tally.

Hasaacas could not find their way back and suffered their seventh defeat of the season.
