Berekum Chelsea say they are ready to grant Eric Bekoe his wish to leave the club after recovering from injury.

The 28-year-old has complained of total neglect by the Blues since suffering a broken leg last year.

Bekoe claims his salary has been cut off while he solely shoulders the exorbitant cost of his recovery.

The ex Asante Kotoko striker has therefore declared to leave the club under the famous 'Bosman Ruling' with some few months left to run on his existing deal with the Blues.

Chelsea however say they are more too willing to let the Ghana international go. “Bekoe’s situation shouldn’t have gotten to this stage,” Berekum Chelsea's General Manager Francis Oduro Sarfo told Metro FM.

“He was set to travel outside the country until he sustained the injury.

“So I took the advantage to call him and wish him well and after the operation I think the players or the team went to visit him.

“The next thing I heard was he complaining that he has been neglected and nobody is taking care of him and therefore he wants to come for his card.

“And therefore I told Nana Kwame (club Chief Executive) that his card should be released to him because he doesn’t want to play.

“Latif Salifu didn’t get much support when he got injured but he is close and knows the situation. The same with Charles Taylor.”
