Berekum Chelsea have completed the signing of Tamale Utrecht youngster Alidu Mohammed Awal.

The 2010 Ghanaian League champions have farmed out the 16-year-old to second-tier side Bofoakwa Tano until January 2013.

‘Chelsea monitored the exploits of the youngster in the academy and we are happy to have secured the release of Alidu who is expected to play a part for the team when the second window of the premiership opens’ Chelsea Chief Executive Nana Nketiah said

Scouts of the Blues were impressed with the exploits of the youngster and swooped for his services.

Awal is the third player to have left Utrecht this year after Jafaru Somed and Alhassan Kalusha joined Namibian side TURA Magic.
