Berekum Chelsea striker Bekoe insists he hold no qualms against Kotoko

Berekum Chelsea striker Eric Bekoe says he holds no grudges against Kotoko after he scored against his former club in their 2-0 Premier League win on Sunday.

The 26-year-old  chipped the ball past goalkeeper Felix Annan to give the Blues the lead before midfielder Jordan Opoku capitalized on a defensive howler to seal victory for the side in front of their home fans.

It was Bekoe’s first game against Kotoko since his hugely publicized collapsed move to the club.

The ex-Liberty Professionals man was on the verge of re-joining the club until his move collapsed at the eleventh hour.

It was widely believed the striker felt aggrieved by the manner Kotoko treated him and came back to haunt them as he broke their invincibility in the top-flight.

But the former Petrojet striker insists he has no qualms with Kotoko and remains a true son of the club.

“I don’t any grudge against Kotoko. I am true fan and son of the club,” Bekoe told Asempa FM

“We don’t have any issues. My people at Chelsea know I am true Kotoko fan.

“But business is business. I’m a professional and so I had to do my work irrespective of the team that we were playing with.

“A lot of things have gone under the bridge but like I said I have no issues with Kotoko.”

Chelsea have jumped to the top of the table with 24 points from 12 games.
