Veteran midfielder Don Bortey says he is not disappointed after he found out that he will not be given the opportunity to wear the rainbow colours of Hearts of Oak again.

Don Bortey was in line for a fairy tale return to the club where he made fortune and fame.

But the clubs management decided against taking him on citing the availability of fresh blood to help their campaign.

But Bortey says he is not disappointed and has vowed to fight on.

“I am not disappointed, is part of the game, I had a lot to offer the Club, but for now I will try and move somewhere else,” he told Starr FM.

“I will work hard because I know I can still play. Hearts is my former Club and I was ever ready to join and help them, but I’m not disappointed.”

The 33-year-old will be hoping to land himself a new Club before the season begins in January
