Hearts have decided against signing veteran midfielder Bernard Dong Bortey.
The 33-year-old was hoping to re-join the Phobians in a bid to revive his flagging career.
But the club has shot down an attempt to sign the former Ghana Under-17 star.
Bortey has been told to look elsewhere after playing a cameo role for the side in the G6 tournament.
He will be seeking a new adventure after having his dream quashed by the Phobians.
