One of the biggest talking points of the Soweto Derby this past weekend was Bernard Morrison’s blatant hand-ball, did you see it?

It was a standout moment in an otherwise uneventful game. Orlando Pirates winger Morrison seemed to have broken the deadlock, only for his goal to be disallowed because he used his hand to score it.

In a move that would impress some of the most skilled of volleyball players, the Ghanaian appeared to help the ball along with his right hand as it was too high for his head to reach.

Although he protested and claimed there was nothing untoward about the way he scored, the cameras told a different story.

Whenever the subject of a handball is brought into question, one can't help but think of the most famous one of all time – scored by Argentina legend Diego Maradona in a 1986 World Cup quarter-final match against England, which subsequently led to the Albiceleste qualifying for the semis – they eventually went on to win the tournament.
