Besiktas to make last attempt for Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah

Turkish giants Besiktas are ready to make one last bid for Kayserispor attacking midfielder Bernard Mensah in the ongoing transfer window.

The Black and Whites have made the Ghana international a transfer priority this summer, but early attempts to sway the 25-year old from Kayserispor has proven futile.

Besiktas want to add four players plus money in exchange for the former Atletico Madrid player, who is also on the radar of rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbache.

Kayserispor are asking for 3.6 million Euros for the player, but Besiktas want to pay 2 million Euros plus four players for the midfielder's services.

The Eagles will back out of the race to sign Mensah should the meeting between them and Kayserispor become unsuccessful, having already identified Ukrainian Viktor Kovalenko as an option.

Bernard Mensah had an outstanding campaign in the Turkish Super Lig last season, scoring five times and providing four assists for the Anatolian Stars.
