Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Morrison was left of Orlando Pirates’ squad for the 2017 Black Label Cup against rivals Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

An early goal by Bernard Parker fired the Amakoshi to a 1-0 win over the Sea Robbers in the Carling Black Label Champion Cup.

The win meant Kaizer Chiefs have won the trophy thrice with Pirates still leading with four wins.

The competition, in its seventh year is, of course, unique such that the starting line-ups and substitutes are decided by the supporters via a voting system, and not by the coaches, a decision that left the Ghanaian out.

Morrison joined Pirates from DR Congo side AS Vita Club after a stellar performance following his earlier move from Ghana Premier League side AshGold SC.
