The Black Meteors have taken delivery of their bonuses due them after qualifying Ghana for the All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.

The over-due payment thus serves as a timely morale booster to the U-23 team  which is close to completing its preparation ahead of the tournament in September.

"It appeared to be a concern for both the ministry and the GFA but thankfully the ministry has released the money to be paid instantly to the players," Meteros Committee chairman, Randy Abbey confirmed to Kumasi-based Angel FM.

"The team manager (Sabahn Quaye) has taking delivery of the money and we have decided to give the portion belonging to the players who are not around to the FA accountant until such time we are able to fashion a way of collection."

The team will play Premier League side, AshantiGold in a warm-up game on Sunday before the final cut is made for a planned training tour of South Africa.

Ghana is drawn in a tough group alongside Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda.
