Black Princesses will miss the services of captain Beatrice Sesu for the next month’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals following her inability to recover from injury.

The Hasaacas Ladies player captained the team during the qualifiers but an undisclosed injury has denied her a second World Cup appearance.

Sesu was a member of the 2012 World Cup team which played in Japan.

In her absence, Grace Adams takes over the captaincy and will assisted by Alice Eva Danso.

“It is unfortunate because she is not only a quality player but she also has a wealth of experience which would have come in handy. However, we have a worthy replacement for her,” head coach Bashir Hayford told Graphic Sports.

The Princesses are currently in Canada to continue preparations for the tournament which begins on 05 August.

Ghana will face hosts Canada on the opening day before engaging Korea and Finland.
