Ghana’s U20 women’s team drew 1-1 with Canadian side North Mississauga U17 girls team in a pre-FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup friendly on Friday.

Sarah Cola opened the scoring for the hosts early in the second half before Jennifer Cudjoe tied the game with a free kick midway through.

The Black Princesses are in tough pool comprising hosts Canada, Korea and Finland.

This will be Ghana’s third straight appearance in the World Cup and are seeking to reach the knockout round for the first time.

"Everybody's going to challenge for the cup and we didn't come here to joke around," Ghana coach Bashir Hayford said.

"We're here to acclimatize to the conditions and weather here.”
