Ghana’s U20 female team will finalize their preparations for the 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in the Canadian City of Calgary, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Black Princesses have been invited by the Calgary West Soccer Club to partake in a summer camp.

Bashir Hayford and her girls will play a number of friendlies against local clubs including a meeting with the Callies Major women’s team on 1 July.

“There’s no secret about soccer development in the world,” Henry Haeusler, Technical Director of the Calgary West Soccer Club said.

“There is a message the girls from Ghana can send to our players, who have the desire to one day become national players.

“We have people from all over the world living in Canada, who are from countries that are soccer-rich. We have so many influences and players from different soccer cultures.”

The Black Princesses open their World Cup campaign against hosts Canada before meeting Korea Republic and Finland.

The 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals will be played from 5-24 August.
