Ghana's senior female team - the Black Queens, have arrived in Japan ahead of a double-header international friendlies with the Asian giants.

Yussif Basigi’s ladies will play their first game of the two installments on Monday morning before playing them again on Wednesday morning, Ghana time.

The Ghana Football Association secured the friendly for the team to use as preparations for their upcoming TN Mobile 9th African Women Championship in Namibia.

Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member Lenear Addy who heads the Black Queens management committee has explained the reason behind the friendlies.

“We all know the pedigree of the Japanese female national team so for us to have the opportunity to play them in two friendlies, I think will help us, Queens a lot," she said.
