Ghana rallied from a gaol down to beat Algeria 2-1 to go top of Group B at the African Women Championship thanks to two goals from Agnes Aduako on Tuesday afternoon. The Algerians took the lead on the fourth minute mark after a horrendous goalkeeping by Gladys Quansah. Ghana head coach AK Edusei brought on Memunatu Sulemana to replace flop 'keeper Quansah on 18 minutes. After the break, midfielder Adwoa Bayor joined the action to improve Ghana's attacking options. Youngster Aduako fired a shot from the edge of the box to draw level in the 63rd minute and struck from inside the box ten minutes later to seal the win. "I feel reallly happy because my girls conceded a goal against the run of play and I had to ginger them up," Ghana coach AK Edusei said in a post match interview. "Being on top of the group is not the end of it all and we must work hard." Ghana will next play Cameroon, which drew 2-2 with defending champions Equatorial Guinea, on Friday.
