Black Queens coach blames poor officiating for Olympic Games exit against Cameroon

Head coach of Black Queens Yusif Basigi says officiating on the day left more to be desired as his team crushed out of the 2016 Olympic game qualifiers after a 2-2 drawn game at home.

The Black Queens were eliminated from next year’s Olympic Games to be held in Rio after a 2-2 drawn game at home.

Coach Yusif Basigi’s side failed to build on their impressive first leg display that saw them come out with a 1-1 drawn game in Yaounde.

The Queens started the second leg on the high after racing to a lead early on but were pegged backed by the Lionesses of Cameroon.

But the Queen went ahead again only to be pegged back late on with the game ending on a 3-3 aggregate and the Queens crushing out.

Coach Yusif Basigi says officiating on the day was very poor.

“I think that officiating was very poor on the day and that affected our team,” Yusif Basigi told Accra based Happy FM

“We are all disappointed in the result because of the expectations but sometimes that is the way football is.
