The Black Queens have returned to training days after staging a boycott due to unpaid bonuses.

Head coach Yusif Basigi says he persuaded the striking players to return to training ahead of the 2014 African Women Champions to be staged in Namibia.

“I have done my best to persuade them to get back to training. The management has also assured them that all what is owed them will be sorted out in a short while so it was necessary they returned to training so not to derail our training programs,” Basigi said.

Twenty-five (25) players were named by the Hasaacas coach and began training on 29 July.

The Black Queens are in Group B alongside South Africa, Cameroon and Algeria.

The 2014 African Women’s Championships will be played between 11-24 October 2014.
