Ghana have faint hopes of securing a semi-final berth at the African Women Championship after losing 1-2 to Cameroon on Friday.

The Queens took a 25th minute lead through striker Agnes Aduako, who raced with the ball into the box and fired from an acute angle.

The Cameroonian drew level from the spot on 30 minutes before Eganamoiut deflected a wayward shot into the net for the match winner in the 37th minute.

The Queens made changes and dominated play in the second half but lacked the cutting to turn their possession into penetration.

Head coach Anthony Adusei is still calm despite his side's inability to earn at least a point from their impressive display.

"That is how football is, sometimes you play well but you lose. We have to work hard and look at how to qualify. We know how it will be a difficult match," Adusei said in a post-match interview.

Ghana, third in the Group, must now beat defending champions Equatorial Guinea next Monday.
