The victorious Black Queens players are demanding $11,000 each for winning gold at the 2015 All Africa Games in Brazzaville.

The Ghanaian national women’s team has rejected a paltry $2000 for winning gold at the tournament in Brazzaville last Friday.

The players have refused to leave the M-Plaza hotel in Accra until their full entitlements are paid.

The players were promised $3,000 each for qualifying from the group phase, the same figure for advancing from the semi-final stage and $5000 for winning the tournament.

However in a rather shocking twist of event, the Sports ministry settled on a measly $2000 as financial reward for each member of the squad.

The move has courted massive criticism in the local media as players of the Black Stars bag $10,000 each as winning bonuses.

The Black Queens beat Cameroon 1-0 to win gold for the first time in the cuntry’s football history.
