Ghana’s Black Queens were annihilated 11-0 by Germany in a friendly match played on Friday in Paderborn.

The Queens conceded in the first minute of play as Anja Mittag pulled a fast one on the defenders.

Mittag ended up scoring four goals in the demotion exercise.

By the half hour mark, the Queens were down six-nil with other goals from Dzenifer Marozsan,

Alexandra Popp, a Cynthia Adobea own goal, Saskia Bartusiak and Sara Daebritz.

A hat-trick from Mittag gave the Germans a 9-0 lead at half time.

After the break, goals from Mandy Islacker (66th) and Dzenifer Marozsan (90 +1) sealed the heavy win.

Head coach Silvia Neid her team will go into their Olympic Games opener against Zimbabwe on on August 3 in Sao Paulo with a lot of confidence.

They will also play Australia (August 6) and Canada (August 9) in the Group.
