The Black Starlets will face hosts Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone in Group A of this month’s WAFU B U17 tournament.

The tournament will run from 25 September to 04 October in the capital Ouagadougou.

Group B consists of three teams; Nigeria, Niger and Tunisia.

WAFUZone B is composed of Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria and Togo.

Last year, Benin won the tournament hosted by Togo after a 2-1 victory over Mali in the final.

The tournament is expected to give the Ghana’s U17 team international exposure after they disqualified from playing at this year’s African U17 Championship in Niger for fielding an overage player against Cameroon in the final round qualifier.

Head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has been training with his team at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram.
