Black Starlets lose to Mali to pre-2017 FIFA U17 World Cup friendly

Ghana U17 were beaten 2-1 by African champions Mali in a pre-FIFA U17 World Cup friendly in Abu Dhabi on Friday evening.

The Black Starlets shot into the lead through captain Eric Ayiah in the 13th minute.

The Malians look stronger in the second stanza and were able to snatch the equalizer.

In the dying minutes, the Cadets snatched the match winner to post a double over the Starlets in four months.

Ghana will test their readiness again four days later against UAE in Dubai.

They open their tournament on 6 October against Colombia before engaing India and USA.
