Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan and striker Kwesi Appiah have congratulated their international team-mate Christian Atsu on his latest move to newly-promoted English Premier League side Bournemouth.

Atsu, 23, sealed a season-long loan move from Chelsea to the newly-promoted English Premier League side on Friday.

And, his national team captain Asamoah Gyan who once played in the English Premier League with Sunderland took to Twitter to congratulate him on his latest move.

"Congratulations [Christian Atsu] #Monko," Gyan tweeted.

Striker Kwesi Appiah, who is hoping to secure first team opportunity at Crystal Palace under Alan Pardew has expressed his joy for the player who could not survive at Everton.

"Congratulations [Christian Atsu] on your loan move. [Good] luck with the new challenge," Appiah also tweeted.

Atsu moved to Stamford Bridge from Porto in September 2013 and has been loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem and, most recently, Everton.

A deal has now been struck that will see Atsu continue his development at the Goldsands Stadium next season, subject to Premier League approval.
