Head coach of the Black Stars Kwesi Appiah has told Asante Kotoko to augment their squad to make a meaningful impact in next year's CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the CAF's second-tier club competition after defeating sworn rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 in the FA Cup finals.
According to the 57-year-old trainer, the club must beef up their squad with the right players before they can take the competition by storm.
“It is important right from now they will do proper recruitment, if you want to participate in Africa you should be prepare to spend,” he told Metro TV.
“Once they spend and they do proper recruitment once they go out there they will not play for Kotoko anymore because they will be representing Ghana. It is important they see it that way and make sure they go and put out a good performance including Aduana Stars.”
