Kwesi Appiah’s two-year contract extension as Black Stars coach will cost the Ghana Football Association US$ 876,000, according reports.

The Graphic Sports publication on Monday new deal will see the ex-Ghana captain pocket a US$ 100,000 signing on fee.

According to the state-owned newspaper, Appiah’s salary will be upped to US$ 36,500 which is an 83% increment to the US$ 20,000 he earned in his previous contract.

Appiah was appointed Ghana coach in April 2012 and was tasked to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and qualify the team to the World Cup.
