Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda joins campaign to restore TV3 presenter Nana Aba Anamoh
Nana Aba Anamoah has been taken off-air at TV3

Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is the first Black Stars player to publicly declare his support to the campaign being waged to return Nana Aba Anamoah back to post at TV3.

The renowned newscaster has been suspended by TV3 for her alleged involvement in picture theft.

Nana Aba Anamoah some weeks ago posted pictures of herself on social media platforms of her trip to Old Trafford to see her beloved Manchester United play.

The original pictures however eventually sufficed suggesting the Diva Show host had altered the shots taken by others to deceive the public into believing she was actually at Old Trafford.

The situation caused TV3 to announce they were taking Nana Aba Anamoah ‘off-air’ indefinitely for supposedly breaching their code of conduct.

Many have since waged campaigns especially on social media platforms to see the immediate restoration of the beautiful and eloquent newscaster back to her original duties.

And goalkeeper Fatau Dauda who is currently away with the Black Stars in Washington for an international friendly match with Canada is the first of Ghanaian footballers to publicly declare his support for the return of Nana Aba Anamoah.

“Free Nana Aba…..TV3, I miss watching her presentation on the network,” Dauda who plays for newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions AshantiGold SC posted with a picture of Nana Aba Anamoah on Twitter.

Nana Aba Anamoah remained one of the longest-serving staff of TV3 since they launched in Ghana in 1997.

Aside being one of their leading newscasters, Nana Aba pioneered a soft weekend talk show named the Diva Show to promote Sports, in particular football – both local and foreign – in Ghana.

She also doubles as the head of Sports at TV3 and is an avowed over of the Black Stars and Manchester United.
