Black Stars head Coach Avram Grant says he is happy with his first nine months as head Coach of the Black Stars.

The 60-year-old took over the side last December and immediately made his influence felt after leading the team to finish second in the Africa Cup of nations that in Equatorial Guinea.

Grant has also transformed the Stars style of play with the team recording emphatic score lines like the 7-1 thumping of Mauritius in the opener of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

The former Chelsea, West Ham and Portsmouth boss says he couldn’t have asked for more in his first nine months as head Coach of the Black Stars.

“You know its nine months since I took the team and for a national team it is a lot of progress,” Grant said

‘”I am very happy with what I have done here and I think it is a good base for the future.”

“I came in for three reasons first is to take the team and all the country out of the trauma of the world cup and second is make a strong Black Stars side.”

“And finally is to take care of the future because Ghana is country with a lot of talent.

“I am really happy about results, the way we play and we do not concede goals.”

”Before I came Ghana use concede a lot of goals but now it is not so.”

“The atmosphere is good and the players are fighting for every ball is making me happy.”
