AFCON 2017: Black Stars head Coach Avram Grant laments poor state of Amahoro pitch

Black Stars head Coach Avram Grant is complaining about the poor state of the pitch at the Amahoro Sports Stadium ahead of his side’s 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda.

“I think I agree with the Coach of the Uganda side and the local media because the State of the Pitch is terrible and very difficult to play technical football on the pitch,” Grant said

“It is not good for the football but that is what we have except it has the ability of causing us injuries.”

“We need to know that this is the pitch and we need to take all the three points.”

The Black Stars won their Group H opener against Mauritius by 7-1 while the Amavubi of Rwanda won away at Mozambique by a solitary Ernest Sugira goal.
