The Black Stars will leave Tamale for Accra this morning after defeating Togo 3-1 in their final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The big win ensured the four-time continental champions remained top of Group E and picked one of the automatic qualification slots for next year’s finals in Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana took a 2-0 lead at half-time through Tamale-born duo Abdul Majeed Waris and Mubarak Wakaso.

But Togo quickly reduced the deficit through Jonathan Ayite before the Hawks conceded an own goal to kill off any attempt of a comeback.

Ghana’s foreign-based legion will leave for their bases on Thursday night for this weekend’s round of matches.
