Black Stars management committee chief George Afriyie has tipped youngster to be the next big thing for Ghana football.

Mensah, who plays for Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes, scored a memorable goal on his international debut against Togo in a friendly.

He was again a second half substitute during the country’s 7-1 demolition of Mauritius in the opening 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and the team’s management team boss George Afriyie has tipped him for greatness.

“That boy [Bernard Mensah] is a promising player and when given the needed support he will be a future star for Ghana because he has gotten everything a player needs,” he told Accra-based Hot FM.

The Ghana international is being tracked by English giants Manchester United.
