Youth and Sports Ministry chief director Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu has defended the payment of GHc 82,500 for each member of the Black Stars management committee saying his or her roles with the team cannot be underestimated.

One of the stuttering revelations at the Commission of Inquiry has been the payment to the officials of the Football Association.

This has made the Ghana Football Association unpopular but Yakubu says those who received the amount deserve it.

“My Lord, I think it is important for the members of the management team to earn winning bonuses because they manage the day to day affairs of the team,” he said.

“There is the need to remunerate them for the job they do for the team, so they deserve the winning bonuses.”

Are they not being paid regular wages for their work? It is senseless and corrupt to pay them winning bonuses. End of the story. I think we should send corrupt people to firing squad before these strings of corruption in Government and leadership positions IN Ghana will stop. Just like what J.J Rawlings did in June 26 '79. Ever since then every politician thinks twice before staging a coup. I SAY WE SHOULD SENTENCE SOMEONE TO FIRING SQUAD FOR THEIR CORRUPTION ONE OF THESE DAYS!

These guys want to be rich like the players at all cost. Look here, the players are the work HORSES! They go on the field and hassle... their career can be over anytime with a knee cap injury and the likes, going into surgery many times for this today and that the next day. They can also faint and die on the pitch like we have seen happen numerous times and leave a whole family and children behind. This explains why players are entitled to receive hefty payment from week to week. Their career is also shortlived after which they cannot qualify to do most jobs ordinary people apply to do in the society. So players deserve their bulk payments and incentives such as winning bonuses e.t.c. On the other hand Management members jobs are not on the same RISK LEVEL! they are paid wages just like in any private firm or company and maybe a present or Christmas present as appropriate!! The GFA technical and management members indulged in corrupt ways for paying themselves the same winning bonus you pay to the soccer players. How high is the risk level of working as a technical member? Apart from your wage you should not pay yourself a winning bonus. OFUI FO! NKWASEAFOUR! Who was agitating for the payments then? Using the players as face mask to taunt the coward Mahama goverment. Another thing that surprise me is that if this inquiry had not gone ahead NO Journalist in Ghana was reporting that management members were paying themselves winning bonus. YOU ALL SEE THE FOOLISH JOURNALIST we have in Ghana??? Easy to hide information from them because they are lazy and stomach direction. No wonder Africa will never become like europe. Our own GFA president was in Miami arranging new contracts and none of our journalist in a big country like Ghana was NOSY enough to get into the pertinent details! It took a western news paper to expose one GFA commitee member arranging to take bribe and fix our national Team games. NYANTAKYI was smart enough to give unclear answers on video afterwards he went about threatening court action but the confident newspaper has not even unpublished or retracted the story. Smart baboon chewing your own hands. You will get rich ok, thats fine... but you will travel overseas and the white man will call you a monkey. After you have destroyed your own motherland for some dollars. You will earn No respect because your continent will always be rearing it's ugly head behind your rich ass! Look at the fame and good name and respect we will get as an African nation if we do things right and win the world cup. Even more money will flow afterwards but Never. One idiot among us will sell that dream for some dollars and create massive confusion even before the story starts to unravel! There is no difference between ebola and corruption. Cursed management commitee memberz!!!! If Mahama has any brain left in his head and balls of a man he will Send them all to firing squad!

Mumbi, Ghana has leaders that are circumcised , they are men and not cowards like you and your cohorts. After all we have qualified to the World Cup on three occasions, we are the only African country who has won a major world trophy at the U 20 level. You seem to like talking and meddling in our affairs. Maybe you are tired of not been circumcised. 33ya paaa!

Writing from China. What a shame Ghana! What a confused leaders on such promising land ?Why would l stop teaching in Ghana as a professional teacher just to come and work for the Chinese educational sector? One would say l am not patriotic but hey ,what level of education have these so called sports committees than the lecturer and to be precise what important role do they play in the core of developing the nation than the teacher ,nurses, doctors ,the farmer etc ?Just look at the classroom where the teacher is compelled to work throughout his entire life ,not to even mention the salary .When in the history of Ghana have teachers been paid bonuses for guiding students emerge victorious in national and international examinations ?lt is rather unfortunate to just misuse state money in the name of sports depriving the country from development .All those indulging in this are all stealing and this is corrupt .It make us feel government has no principles and salary structure for payments of sports officials . What l want to divulge here is that if one think the national cake is not enough ,one can secure greener pastures elsewhere like what l am doing here in China where l am paid equivalent of twenty times the salary l was earning from home monthly. This should be better than looting government coffers to deprive the nation any form of development .l don't want to say anything about China but l can assure Ghanaian , we are far behind 80years of development from what l am seeing here .This is a country with potent leadership , leaders that citizens confide in and believe in .Leaders who stand for the welfare of their national providing enough for them and even we foreigners .l don't think Ghanaian leaders can hold such a population in China for a week. All workers at key positions in Ghana must simply know that it is their duty to move the country on from developing to developed and eradication of corruption is a key factor .

On what grounds do the management commitee members deserve a winning BONUS of 82,500 dollars??? If you pay them heaps of money they will still take bribes anyway because they have no morals in the first place. That is the issue we need to address... The absence of morals. How much is that amount in our local currency for a bonus to someone who is already working at a close to zero risk level in GFA? My calculator is showing error when I do the bloody conversion. Infact I can argue that Tertiary teachers in Ghana face more risk and deserve hefty bonuses than a Blackstar management committee member who wants to become rich like a typical successful soccer player. There is absolutely no truth and sense of decency in africa. And yet after all this corruption the richest person in the world is not an African.Ask yourself why? And I will explain.. If we don't stem out such corrupt practices we will continue to be corrupt and yet overall Poorer and poorer. India has a government that has started cracking on corruption with practical measures and it is working for them. As a result India will soon become wealthy overall. and very soon Indians will become respected globally than Africans. In Nigeria oil magnates steal all the money while the masses are embarrassingly and shamefully poor. These rich oil magnates send their children to Harvard whilst CNN and BBC comes to Nigeria and video how poor and pathetic the common Nigeria lives like a dog. The children of these oil rich magnates then become surprised when their mates in Harvard start treating them like second class humans and relating their black skin to poverty and illness and doesn't trust their I.Q e.t.c. And they scream racism. DUMMIES! Now back to the story.. Let the sports director explain why the technical commitee members deserve a winning bonus in addition to their wages. Africans will never develop if we don't start being content with our level at each point and working for glory instead of riches starting from our leaders in all avenues of the society! Riches automatically follow when one attains grace and glory. Look at Kwame Nkrumah, Attach Mills and tell me how much they stole in Ghanaian money and I bet not a passewa and yet are their children poor? Dummies only sell out for peanuts! And Africa will forever drag In mud together with these corrupt persons. Firing Squad!!!
