Ghana international midfielder Bernard Mensah finally marked his debut in the Spanish La Liga for Getafe after coming off the bench to play a cameo role in their 1-0 slender win over Malaga on Friday night.

The 20-year-old midfielder engine, who is on loan from former champions - Atletico Madrid, climbed off the bench in the 87th minute.

Getafe manager Fran Escribá introduce the former West African Football Academy graduate as replacement for Angel Lafita at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

With 5, 808 fans on attendance, the former Vitoria Guimaraes midfield anchor shored up the middle lines as Getafe recorded their maiden victory of the season.

Serbian forward Stefan Scepovic scored the only goal of the game with a 2nd minute finish and Malaga were unable to come back into the game.

Mensah signed for Atletico Madrid from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes but was loaned out to Getafe for the entire 2015/16 season.
