Ghanaââ¬â¢s exciting midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says they will keep their focus to ensure they beat Niger and avoid an embarrassing upset.
The Black Stars have jumped to the summit of group B after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mali on Thursday at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth.
Espanyol ace Mubarak Wakaso scored from the spot-kick in the 38th minute after the lively Agyemang-Badu was adjudged to have been fouled in the box by defender Adama Tamboura.
Although the result is regarded as a formality to some, the Udinese star wants his colleagues to keep their minds on the task at hand and secure an expected win over the Menas on Monday.
ââ¬ÅWe are done with Mali and therefore the concentration should be on Niger,â⬠Badu said
ââ¬ÅOur focus is on the game against Niger and weââ¬â¢ll see what will happen.ââ¬
Badu was voted the man of the match for the second time running after another standout performance against the Eagles.
