Majeed Waris arrives in Ghana camp

Striker Abdul Majeed Waris has joined the Ghana camp, leaving only Andre Ayew as the remaining player yet to arrive to complete the Black Stars camp.

The 22-year-old turned up at the Black Stars’ Golden Bean Hotel in Nhyiaeso by the time the team returned from their morning training session on Wednesday.

Waris had to delay his arrival to join up with his international teammates due to his travel to Turkey to complete a four-year move to Trabzonspor.

He arrived in Ghana on Tuesday night and took a connecting flight in from Accra to Kumasi on Wednesday morning.

Waris’ arrival now means only Andre Ayew is left to make up the number of 24 players in the Black Stars camp.

The Olympique Marseille ace is expected to arrive in time to train with the side in the evening session on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ghana will host Uganda in their opening 2015 Africa Cup Nations qualifier on Saturday.

The team will then make the short trip to face Togo in their second qualifier on September 10.
