Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah claims he is feared by his players who have decided to nickname him ''silent killer.''

The ex-national team captain insists he has total control of the dressing room and capable of instilling discipline in the team ahead of the World Cup

He took a decision to axe Sulley Muntari from his squad during the qualifiers after the midfielder used abusive language following his substitution in the win over Lesotho last June.

The AC Milan ace had to render an unqualified apology before he was re-admitted into the squad.

Ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, he took a bold decision to drop Andre Ayew from the team for failing to team the reporting deadline for a pre-tournament camping in Abu Dhabi.

Appiah says his players know the consequences of breaking camp rules.

“I’m a coach who doesn’t talk that much – the players call me a silent killer. The reason being that I have total respect for them, but I always make sure that each and every player does what is right at the given time,” Appiah was quoted by FIFA.com.
