Ghana will start their training today (Monday) in preparation for Friday’s all-important World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah will supervise his first training at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the match in Kumasi.

The Ghana players have shown a strong desire to crush the Zambian opposition with swift arrivals for the match which is just four days away.

Captain Asamoah Gyan and goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is among the players who arrived early for the camp and will be available for training in the evening.

Other players in camp are Kwadwo Asamoah, Mubarak Wakaso, Christian Atsu and the South African-based Fatau Dauda , Awal Mohammed and Rashid Sumaila.

Micheal Essien has also arrived in the country ahead of the Black Stars final group qualifier only to be met with news of his father’s death.

It is not known if he will be excused from the qualifier.

The Chelsea ace is making a return to the national team after almost two years out with various niggling injuries and withdrawing from national team call ups.

The return of Michael Essien into the national team squard is a grate news for all Ghanaians because we all know the impact of him being in the team but I think Micheal needs to be excused for the Zambian clash to help him get over his father’s death. I AM LOOKING FORWARD FOR A 4:0 VICTORY OVER ZAMBIA!

  2. Idiotsssss. You guys wanna use Michael Essien who all of a sudden has become a spectator in Chelsea… Hahahahaha…. 4 days for 24 million gaynaians to be sent into oblivion including their bleached faced president…… Up NIGERIA! Up ZAMBIA……

Inclusion of the so called stars for ghana will make them lose.zambia is very strong.ghanians defenders are not decsplin,I should expect a red card.

  5. Joe Bidden says:

Worry not Zambia has the same small boys who tame so called stars. How can we forget the Whiz kid Kalaba who made most of the defenders nightmares to catch up wit him at AFCON12, this time around the Ace Jacob Mulenga will definitely give Ghana defenders instant diarrhea. I dont need to mention Mayuka y’all know him… okay fine its that guy who buried Ghana at AFCON12 with a solitary goal. Kennedy Mweene? Just ask Dogba, the guy really hates him! “You cant shee me!” ha ha ha. anyway that said I dont think Chipolopolo will have time for sight seeing in Kumasi, after the win they need to jet outta there quickly. FYI FIFA is also keep and eye as the executive has said. ANY and I say ANY misbehavior by the fans/players against the Zambians they are saying they are ready to punish Ghana we dont know how but Zambia is good at getting FREE 3 points and 3 goals. Thats just my opinion

  6. ghana team says:

We know zambia team is very strong and we are sure that they gonna beat us without fail. We gonna just try to play with them because fifa gave us already this big team. It was better if fifa was going to give us our class we are scared with zambia guys. Many times we been playing with these chipolopolo bt they beat us. Yeah we are scared guys we didn’t expect that fifa can give us zambia best of Africa. If u can see these guys when they playing u can believe that today I’m watching African champion. We don’t have jealous this is just game but for the truth, we are scared. Zambia is talented team guys the gonna beat us right at our own home. This coach don’t wanna listen we told him that he must cancel this match and salute zambia as they are the African best but u see now, we are in trouble by zambia chipolopolo. When zambia beat us on friday our coach in problem.

  7. Umupondo says:

Joe Biddem….That is good stuff. Keep it up

  8. Sunnypa says:

Gay playas are ready 2 suck zambians playas dicks

  9. @HK says:

Zambia is definitely winning this one,our players are in top form and scoring in their league or cup games.Kalaba for example who on Sunday Scored for his team,Mayuka is on fire in the EPL,not forgetting Jacob. This must be very depressing for Ghana.Watch this space.

  10. chipolopolo all the way says:

just wait and see.its like too much people insulting here.

  11. Joe Bidden says:

…another observation Zambia seems to struggle a bit with weaker teams e.g Sudan, Lesotho, Zimbabwe but extremely dangerous and menacing to so called African Football giants. Hmn… well, I wonder why. I think it has to do with proving a point. By the way if Ghana takes itself as a football giant then its likely it will be cut to size. Talking from the current behavior of Chipolopolo team…. and thats just my Opinion.

  12. Kao says:

Black Star will write ZAMBIA on the score board. Come the 6th September.

  13. shikulu says:

We can only respect the Ghana of yesteryears when Abedi Pele was playing. The current Black Stars are a bunch of emulators drunken and blinded by fame they do not deserve. Zambia gonna give them sending orders to the ‘grave’.

  14. Umupondo says:

CHIEF BLACK STAR……Joe Bidden has asked me to answer your question. He says ,yes it is the same team.He further asked me to remind you that it is the same team that thrashed BS recently in 2012 and 2013. He further asked to warn you that if BS is not careful this Friday Chipolopolo is determined and resolved to repeat the act. Go Zambia Go..The warm heart of Africa

    • CHIEF BLACKSTAR says:

@ Umpondo……………..I want J Bidden to talk for himself.Or are you the same person? My friend ,I think you’re drunk that Zambia and blackstars met in 2013.Can you let me know where this was?By the way 1-0 is not considered a thrashing by all standards, check your oxford dictionary.Tell Bidden isaid that if he thinks Blackstars will treat his team with kiddy gloves then he must be kidding coz Zambia is going down in Kumasi irregardless of history .Go Ghana Go…………The blackstar of Africa leading the way

  15. John says:

How I wish football was played in the mouth such that it was won by wishes. The sad part is that football has becoming a social divider instead of unifying factor. I believe there is more among footballing nations than mere games. I see messed up priorities here, football is a big idol to may such that pipo would shun religious and family gatherings for futball. Plz, lets set our priorities right.

  16. Please are you Ghanaians ? I still support black stars no matter how it is. Welcome home great Micheal Essien God bless you for coming back home. I wish black stars good luck for fridays game God bless you all.

  17. BB says:

Those hating on the great Ghanaians are just empty barrels, shut up nd see what the gallant black stars will do.mind ur business not we proud ghanaians.up up Ghana,up up stars.3-0
